A Sea of Toongs

These hand made toongs are made by locals in Kalasin. The craft is seen in the north and northeast but is a northeastern tradition in Thailand. Locals make these spiritual spider webs as an offering to Buddha and believe that each thread connects the individual to to the heavens.
